About the Viasys AVEA Ventilator
The AVEA ventilator handles the full spectrum from 2mL neonatal breaths to 2.5L adult volumes with BiCore™ technology that actually guides weaning decisions based on work-of-breathing measurements. Unlike conventional ventilators that just deliver preset parameters, it monitors transpulmonary pressure to show you what’s happening inside the patient’s chest.
Volume-based capnography gives you breath-by-breath CO2 data while automated maneuvers like MIP/NIF and AutoPEEP testing run in the background. The short version: it handles the routine monitoring so you can focus on clinical decisions. Tracheal and esophageal pressure monitoring add another layer of insight for complex cases.
The onboard compressor keeps you mobile, and the optional internal battery provides two hours of independent operation. Worth noting the automatic Heliox compensation adjusts gas delivery without manual recalibration.
