About the Covidien Newport HT70 Plus Ventilator
The Newport HT70 Plus handles patient ventilation from 5 kg pediatric cases through adults using a micro-piston pump that works across transport, acute care, and long-term settings. Unlike traditional bellows systems, it delivers consistent flow regardless of altitude or gas supply fluctuations.
The full-color touchscreen adapts its interface based on your setting – basic transport mode strips away complexity while hospital mode gives you full parameter control. Built-in oxygen monitoring tracks cylinder time remaining and triggers alarms before you run low. Worth noting: the hot-swappable dual battery system means you won’t interrupt ventilation during power changes, with up to 10 hours of operation per charge.
The 360-degree alarm lamps in the handle let you spot issues from any angle, while color-coded screen alerts speed up troubleshooting. An on-airway flow sensor handles both invasive and noninvasive monitoring without sensor swaps.
