The HeartStart FRx delivers patient-impedance-adjusted biphasic shocks through preconnected SMART Pads, eliminating the setup delays that cost critical seconds during cardiac arrest events. Unlike basic AEDs that use fixed energy levels, this unit automatically calibrates waveform parameters based on patient impedance for more effective defibrillation.

Built-in CPR coaching walks responders through compression timing and depth, while automated voice prompts guide users through each step without requiring manual navigation. The infrared data port transmits event data wirelessly for immediate clinical review and quality improvement tracking. Worth noting: the Infant/Child Key switches to pediatric mode with a single turn, dropping energy to 50 joules and adjusting pad placement guidance.
