About the Olympus GIF-160 Adult Video Gastroscope
The GIF-160 combines an 8.6mm insertion tube with a large 2.8mm working channel, giving you better access without the bulk that typically comes with wider instrument channels. The short version: you get room for therapeutic accessories while keeping patient comfort manageable.
The extra-wide 140° field of view covers more mucosa in each position, reducing the need for excessive scope manipulation during screening procedures. Worth noting, the 4-way angulation provides 210° upward deflection, which helps with retroflexion maneuvers in the gastric fundus and antrum visualization.
The ergonomic grip puts angulation controls and user-selectable switches within easy reach during procedures. The scope ID function automatically stores individual scope information, simplifying inventory tracking and maintenance scheduling.
