About the American Profile MacIntosh Blade Size 2 (Child)
The curved spatula on this Size 2 MacIntosh blade gives you indirect epiglottis elevation without the aggressive positioning you’d need with a straight Miller blade. The gentle curve extends from lock to tip, letting you visualize the vocal cords in pediatric patients while keeping tissue trauma minimal.
The reverse Z flange cross-section opens up your visual field during intubation. Bottom line, you get better access to place the ET tube accurately without fighting the blade geometry. Both conventional and fiber optic illumination work with the same blade body.
The polished stainless steel finish resists buildup and cleans easily between cases. At 0.4 pounds, it won’t fatigue your hand during longer procedures.
