The Philips HeartStart OnSite delivers SMART Biphasic therapy that automatically adjusts waveform parameters based on patient impedance, providing optimized energy delivery for adults (150J) and pediatric patients (50J) through interchangeable pad cartridges. Unlike basic AEDs that offer generic shock protocols, this unit analyzes individual patient characteristics to customize treatment.

Daily automated self-tests monitor both battery and pad integrity, tracking readiness status without manual intervention. The internal event memory captures complete incident data and generates verbal EMS summaries through the integrated i-button interface. Worth noting: the voice-guided CPR coaching provides real-time feedback between shocks, supporting rescuers through the entire emergency response sequence.
