About the Hill-Rom TotalCare Hospital Bed
The Hill-Rom TotalCare bed handles complex patient positioning that standard acute care beds can’t manage. Full Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg positioning gives you precise angle control for surgical prep, shock treatment, and respiratory therapy without transferring patients to specialized equipment.
The two-layer therapeutic sleep surface reduces pressure points while maintaining positioning accuracy. Worth noting: the central brake and steer system lets one person safely move and position the bed, even with bariatric patients up to 500 pounds. Optional percussion, vibration, and rotation modules turn this into a comprehensive pulmonary therapy platform.
Full chair positioning supports early mobilization protocols and makes transfers easier on both patients and staff. The 14.5″ to 33.5″ height range works with most OR tables and transport gurneys without repositioning.
