About the DRE Xavier X Medical Headlight
The Xavier X delivers over 50,000 lux of shadow-free illumination at working distance, putting it well above the typical 30,000-40,000 range of standard surgical headlights. The 5000K color temperature provides crisp white light that won’t shift tissue colors during procedures.
Battery runtime exceeds 8 hours on a single charge, and you can keep working while it charges. The upside of the wireless battery option is complete freedom of movement around the OR without cord management. An optional yellow filter reduces blue light exposure during long cases.
At 69 grams for the lamp itself, it’s light enough for extended wear. Spot size adjusts from 20mm to 80mm at standard working distance, and brightness controls let you dial in exactly what each procedure needs.
