About the Drager Perseus A500 Anesthesia Machine
The Perseus A500 delivers precise anesthesia with TurboVent 2 blower-based ventilation that responds faster than traditional bellows systems. Its Volume AutoFlow automatically adjusts pressure to maintain your set tidal volumes, while APRV support gives you advanced ventilation options for challenging cases.
The 15.3″ touchscreen puts ventilation loops, smart pilot monitoring, and gas flow controls in one interface that stays consistent across all connected devices. The Low Flow Wizard walks your team through minimal fresh gas techniques step by step. Worth noting: the heated breathing circuit cuts condensation issues that can interfere with accurate monitoring.
The well-lit workspace and configurable monitor mounting let you position displays where they’re actually visible during procedures. Timer-based self-tests run automatically, so you’re not waiting around for machine checks between cases.
