The Detecto Scale #449 combines weight and height measurement in one platform while providing hand support for patients who need stability during assessment. Unlike standard physician scales, the integrated handpost gives elderly or mobility-impaired patients something secure to hold, reducing fall risk and improving measurement accuracy.
The dual-sided dial readout lets clinical staff take readings from either side of the scale, which speeds up workflow in tight spaces. Worth noting: the height rod covers the full adult range in both metric and imperial units, so you won’t need separate measuring tools.
