The ever-growing demand for more efficient and advanced industrial and scientific equipment with higher capacity and better performance, providing safe and effective sterilization, has led to the development of the Tuttnauer's line of Large Sterilizers for Laboratories.
The Large Laboratory Line is designed to cover a wide range of applications for Laboratories, Biotech Facilities and Research Institutes. The Large Laboratory Line operates with saturated steam as the sterilization agent; working at pressures of 0-350 KPa abs and temperatures in the range of 105° C to 137° C.
Special temperature settings are available on request. The sterilization method substantially shortens the sterilization cycle, achieved by evacuating the air with a vacuum pump, combined with steam pulsing. A 0.2µm HEPA Filter is provided to filtrate the air, which equalizes the vessel pressure after the drying cycle.
Tuttnauer offers a large range of sterilizer models, ranging from 120L chamber sizes to 1015L, according to the specific use and nature of product requirements.
The Large Laboratory Sterilizer Line meets the provisions of the Medical Device Directive 93/42EEC as well as the Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23EEC.
The Horizontal Sterilizer complies with EN285 and EN554 as well as Health Technical Memorandum 2010 and 2031. In addition, the Quality System is certified in compliance with ISO 9002, EN 46002 and ISO 13485. The devices are UL Listed, FDA declared and CE marked (MDD & PED).
The Large Laboratory Line's pressure vessel and jacket is constructed of 316L grade stainless steel.
The sterilizers' doors are constructed of heavy-duty 304 grade stainless steel. The sterilizer can be supplied with one or two doors. Door options are various: Fully automatic, vertical sliding, horizontal sliding, or hinged with automatic locking.
The safety features prevent the operator from opening all door types in the following circumstances:
The pipes and fittings are of stainless steel and brass. The valves are ball type, self cleaning and pneumatically operated.
The sterilizer can be supplied in one of the following mounting alternatives: Built -in wall mounted or free-standing with cabinet.
The sterilizer's Operator Interface Panel is composed of the following:
The Control and monitoring applications can also be performed using a Touch Screen assisted by the ADMC software, which is optionally available.
The sterilizer is designed to operate up to (10) ten Standard sterilization programs between 105°C and 137°C and (2) two test programs. All programs are selected by using the numeric keypad, and all programs are programmable. The standard programs comply with the European Norm 285.
Air removal, sterilization and drying stages can be reprogrammed.
For clear and concise documentation of cycle process, the control unit is provided with a 24 character per line printer, which is connected to the microprocessor. The printer generates a hard copy printout of the relevant information concerning the cycle operation such as the temperature, pressure, vacuum, sterilization and drying time, number of cycles, etc. In case of an uncompleted cycle, the printout indicates the cycle failure and the cause of the failure. An additional graphic printer is optional. RS485/RS232 PC and Advanced PC Windows-based software for monitoring, logging and control is also available. A circular or trace strip chart temperature and pressure recorder can be supplied on request.
